OVER 75 YEARS OF HISTORY

For more than 75 years, the Makowski family has shaped silver and gold into timeless works of art.

The story began in May 1946, when Wacław Makowski - Thomas’s grandfather - opened a small shop on London’s Bond Street, offering finely handcrafted sterling silver flatware, mugs, and tableware.

AT AN EARLY AGE

Thomas’s own relationship with metal began at age six, spending summers in his grandfather’s silversmithing workshop.

Surrounded by the rhythm of hammers and the glow of polished silver, he discovered a lifelong passion for making jewelry.

Those early days at the bench taught him not only technique, but patience, tradition, and pride in craftsmanship.

DEDICATION

He later studied at the Museum of Fine Arts School in Boston, training under master goldsmiths David Austin and Yoshiko Yamamoto. His talent and dedication earned him a teaching assistant role at just eighteen.

While at the Museum School, Thomas explored a broad range of art forms - each adding depth and imagination to the jewelry he creates today.

Blending tradition with innovation, Thomas pairs the hands-on artistry of classical metalsmithing with cutting-edge 3D design and printing. Each piece he makes unites old-world craftsmanship with modern design - made to endure for generations.
